Her work for the Royal BC Museum has included school programs, feature exhibitions, volunteer training, gallery interpretation and the development of a smartphone app. Now with a focus on outreach, Kim will develop more opportunities for people who cannot physically visit the museum to explore the collections, learn new skills and encourage dialogue and reflection.
EducationI went to the University of Lethbridge, in Southern Alberta, where there are tunnels between the buildings so that you don't have to battle the winds and a lot of nice people too. I graduated with distinction with a BA in anthropology and a minor in drama. I am currently enrolled in the master's of museum education program at the University of British Columbia—an amazing course for people interested in informal education.
